Travis Fish's solo exhibition That Dog in Me will inaugurate the gallery’s New York flagship, opening June 26, 2024 at 55 Delancey Street on the Lower East Side. Featuring seven new paintings, the exhibition represents an expansion of the artist’s practice, as he delves into new subjects and figural compositions that continue his investigation of fandom.
As suggested by the exhibition’s title, That Dog in Me, the works on view are motivated by a distinctly dogged appreciation for the subjects pictured therein and the artist’s desire to stoke connection with individuals he admires—from artist Henry Taylor to hockey player Thatcher Demko and actor Anthony Hopkins to designer Josué Thomas, amongst many others.
